I may not be a boyscout, but I sure love camping with them

On Friday night I drove Clint up the where his boyscouts were camping. We got up there late because we were at our good friends wedding. I had full intentions of driving back home, but when you have 12-16 year old boys demaning your attention, "Sister Knapp, Sister Knapp!" and then they take you to the camp fire and put a hot bowl of dutch oven peach cobbler and hot chocolate in your hands, you just can't leave. We stayed up late hiding, telling stories and laughing. We only brought one sleeping bag and one sweater and one pillow, so needless to say, I slept most the night while Clint was awake shivering. (we stuggle sharing a queen bed to sleep in... one sleeping bag!) I woke up becuase I was so hot and gave him the sweater. Then, I knew he was doing bad when he asked for the pillow. By the time the morning came, I was on the hard ground, no sweater and no pillow. Ha ha. Somehow, I still felt rested and Clint was just getting to sleep. Poor guys.... they always have to be the gentlemen. In the morning they fed me an egg and ham sandwhich. Then they were off to ride there bike home. I got in the car. It is so beautiful in the mountains right now. For those who know me well, you know I hate driving! But i could have driven for hours it was so beautiful. The Disney Classics may have helped my driving. You have got to go up there. I waited all day for the bike riders to come home. They were supposed to be home no later than 2 pm but probably earlier. I got a call at 5:15 asking I would go pick a couple of them up. It was so sad. Clint and one of his scouts were covered in dirt, scartches and bruises. The scout in addtition, had his shoes ripped to pieces (all his toes were haning out) and had no seat left on his bike!! It was so sad. Thank goodness I am prego... or I probably would have gotten myself into that ride.
