Thank Goodness Its Winter

What do normal people do when it’s a chilly November evening? Stay inside, drink hot chocolate, sit by the fire and enjoy being inside their cozy home.

What do pregnant women do? Sit by the window that’s open with your hair up, chew on ice and wear shorts and a t-shirt. I have heard you get hot while you are an incubator for your little one, but this weekend it was ridiculous. I got quite a few looks from Clint's family until one of his lovely cousins asked, "Are you ok?" Thinking, how sweet it was of her to ask. "Yes, just a little warm."

Good, can we close the window because I am freezing?" Ahhh... trying to hide the shocked face.."Yea, of course." Ten minutes later finding myself on the outside steps.
Is this normal?

For sure you are normal! When I was pregnant with Ashley (in the winter) we did not turn our heat on AT ALL. The temperature in our house was usually in the 50's. Scott would wear an insulated flannel shirt as soon as he walked in the door.

why would I ever want to be pregnant?

Ryan will love it when I am pregnant for that reason. I am always freezing and he is always too warm so we are always debating what temp it should be in our house.

haha...April you are too funny! :) I have hot flashes too sometimes, and I'm not even pregnant. Just weird I guess.

Oh gosh yes totally normal!! So the first really nice day (i guess normal people call it cold) we had here I'm sitting on the couch and I smell this smoky smell. So... i ask, "what's that smell?" ammon--"I turned the heat on" me--"WHY?!! it feels SO GOOD!" ammon-- "NO it doesn't! It's COLD!!! You're weird!!" Now, for Ammon to get cold--that's something. He's always hot! I love it though. It snowed here (yes that IS rare for AL) monday and I was walking around outside...people kept telling me to put on a coat. I just looked at them and said do you SEE any goosebumps?! No. Because I'm not cold-at ALL! It feels GREAT! Thanks for worrying though!

yes it is normal and just wait, when i was nursing it got WAY worse! Good thing that summer was over. It's amazing how your body changes all for a precious miracle

I agree with Christine's comment - this is nothing compared to nursing. I was actually still freezing all the time when I was prego, but now I get random hot flashes.
