Share a Smile Triathalon

Can anyone tell what the three of us are doing in the picture below????? Me neither! Ha ha. One of us is swimming, one of us is biking and the other is running. We had just finish the Share a Smile Triathlon. This was such a fun triathlon because it was around our old stomping grounds. We ran right past our old house.

I have done three other triathlons and I have now discovered that pool triathlons are the way to go! The swim was great! No one was kicking or bumping or swimming on top of you. You have your own half of the lane the whole time! ...And it was only half the distance... And the water is warm!

Here I am making the transition between the pool and the bike. I felt like my transitions were so slow, but maybe I tried to hurry to fast....

Because oh wait....is that my helmet still on my head!! I was so embarrassed! I probably ran 400 meters with my helmet on my head before one of the volunteers asked me if she wanted me to take my helmet.. Ha ha! The funny thing was that Clint was so great at being the photographer that he didn't notice either.

Clint is such a great support for my races. He has been to all but two of them. It gives me an extra boost when I seem him cheering me on.

This race I came home FIRST place in my age group (20-29) and THIRD girl over all. Yea!!! How fun! I was so worried I wouldn't be able to get back into shape after having my baby....because ya know, your body is never the same after you have a baby. It feels good to feel good again. Now I am understanding why people have another one after those long, horrible 9 months and that excruciating and painfull day that you first meet your bundle of joy. I better go read my journal again to remind myself of what I went through. :)
