Today I feel the same way I felt every time I wrote in my journal as a teenage. "Its been way too long and I have so much to write." Only this time I can just put pictures up and it sums it up for me. With a new baby, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, our Anniversay, and Lydia's baby blessing there was a lot of happenings.
Where best to start, but with the new star in our house. So peacefull and precious as she sleeps.
oh, she is waking up. Cute."No pictures please."
"Waaa! I said no pictures." Isn't this picture below the funniest little gremlin face?
As I looked through pictures I saw this gem below and laughed. In November Clint grew a mustache for Movember (I think that's what it was called) To support the fight (hence the fist) against prostate cancer. As yes, this is in the early stage of growing it.
Thanksgiving at my moms house. Tyson with three of his cousin who moved away in January. Sad. :( Family get togethers will seem so little and strange without them and their mom and brother.
Aunt Judy and Uncle Dave loving the littlest one.
Tyson's favorite toy at Grandma. I can't remember if this is Thanksgiving or Christmas. But I am guessing Thanksgiving because there is no wrapping paper mess.
Tyson loves the guitar. Him and Clint sit and play together. Clint will sing and Tyson will copy. So adorable. Or Clint with sing about animals and Tyson will make the animal sound. Tyson has an acoustic one and we got him an electric one (toy that plays music and is supposed to teach him) for Christmas. When he doesn't have the guitar with him he frequently pulls out the air guitar. Rock on little buddy.
Decorating the Christmas tree. Yes, this is at Grandpa's house and yes we did decorate our own tree, but sadly we don't have any pictures of it. So this will have to do. Tyson loved climbing up the ladder to put the ornaments on. He is getting so independent.
My two boys off to church while Lydia and I stay home and watch The Work and the Glory. I really wanted to watch them so I could hear Lydia's name being used. I know, I should have been reading the Ensign or something a little more productive. But it did confirm how much I love Lydia's name.
Take a look at the picture below and try to guess what Tyson is looking so intently at. None other but good ol Santa Clause. He stood there looking at him for 25 minutes as we waited in line at our ward Christmas party. He had seen our decorations at home and knew who "ker saw" (santa clause) was by this picture, but I guess to seem him in person was surreal.
No joke, 25 minutes. ha ha
One of our first family outings was to the festival of trees.
Clint took Tyson to a live nativity with real Camels! Too cold for Lydia and I to join them . We didn't like the cold, so when Lydia was a three weeks old, off to sunny St. George.
Tyson ans his BFF Taden(whether he likes it or not, he will be spending a lot of time with him throughout the years) love the swings.
I love this picture below of Tyson on the swing. My baby is such a big boy.
Tyson loves to hand on bars, so why not get a family picture. That big lump on my front side is Lydia. Why did I not take other pictures of her? Bad mom!
The Tuchan theater has a short but sweet nativity production that we went to and afterwards got to sit on Santa again. Tyson can't stop staring at him again. Ha ha
I was just waiting for him to pull his beard. Maybe that only happens in movies.
They also had a little outside fire. Lydia covered again in the carseat.
We attempted to take a family picture for Christmas cards, but this is all we got. This is right outstide our house. Pictures didn't merit printing on a card. The best thing is Tyson smile in the second one.
This picture below is the same day. I love his smiling happy face.
The pictures exhausted Lydia. So cute.
Which means more snuggle time for her and mom. Nothing sweeter than a snuggling newborn in your arms.
Ok, well this below is just as precious. Tyson loves Lydia so much and on a daily basis wants to hold and he LOVES giving her the binkie.
Wow, she is getting bigger. She has red eyes a lot because she has those clogged tear ducts.
The pictures below is her first Sunday, Christmas Sunday. I could miss that Sunday, even if people only go once a year, thats the Sunday they go. And look at the little smirk on her face. ha ha. Her scratch is from Tyson. His fingernails had been neglected.
Since Lydia's been here Tyson has been finding his own babies to carry around. This day it was a big blue dog. For Christmas we got him a baby doll. He happened to open it in front of his Grandpa Knapp. Grandpa Knapp says, " Tyson, thats not for you. Lets see who its for." Ha ha. He could not believe I bought my son a doll. But Tyson loves it and he doesn't play with it every day, just when I have to ignore him and take care of Lydia. It works great. He rocks the baby and pats her on the back. Such a nurturing child.
I was hesitant to have Christmas parties at our house this year because of all the germs that could get to little Lydia, but we did anyway. The one below is with some of our favorite highschool friends. I wish I had the pictures from our other party so I could show you some amazing ugly sweaters.
Off to ride the Polar Express to see Santa.
I think we must have just passed the North Pole when this picture was taken.
Tyson is such a fun kid. He loves to laugh and play.
Santa came into our car. Tyson is so serious as he waves to him.
"I don't know what I want for Christmas."
But this top will do for now.
Christmas Morning! Basketball and Football. Two important things in Tysons life.
Adorable little girl with an outfit that moms friend made her.
I love holding my two babies.
It was a sad day when Tysons gymnastics gym called and said they were closing. Tyson loved to go each week and run and play with his friends. This little girl is just barely older than Tyson and he does Not like her touching hi. Lets hope that stays that way for a long time.
His favorite thing at the gym is the zipline.
Tyson has some small obsessions and one of them is Hats. And thats why he must have three on at once. He also is really really addicted the binkie while we drive in the car.
I love that little bump on her behind.
Lydia's blessing day. Another shot with the guitar because Tyson refused to put it down.
Our little Angel. January 2nd. Thank you Aunt Robyn for making her that adorable headband and booties. I love days like this when I remember to appreciate how wonderful it is to have the priesthood in our home. I love my husband and am so thankful for his testimony.
Mom made my bracelet.
Uncle Clark is a favorite with the nephews.
Happy THIRD anniversary. Doesn't it seem like it should be more than 3? Not because its been long and miserable, it has infact been quite the opposite. But because, well, we already have 2 kids and I have known this man my whold life. I feel lucky everyday to have a man who loves me as much as I love him....because thats a LOT!
It took me a year to leave Tyson overnight, but only 7 weeks to leave Lydia. Thanks Grandma Knapp for keeping our kids so we could spend a night in the Anniversay Inn. We are indebted to you.
Bath time.
8 weeks old and pulled off her FIRST SMILE. Yea!!! Yea!! Yea!!
Ok, thats all for now. Bye!
