Its so fun to have warm weather in January. We took another trip to St. George. We visited the lake we will soon be battling in our triathlon this May. It was soo pretty.
While we were at the pool Clint saved a little boys life. A little 3 year old boy walked in and jumped right into the pool. He had a swimsuit on but he also had his shoes on. There was just another small child with him. Tahnee and I were talking about how brave Tyson was for jumping in by himself (my regular Tyson bragging) but this little boy put Tyson to shame so he caught our attention. Well, pretty soon we realize that this little boy is kicking like crazy but stays about 3 inches below the water. We both yell to Clint who has his back to the boy but is only about 10 feet away. But Clint can't understand what we are saying because we were so high pitched and loud and in an indoor pool, you know how it is. So then Lorrin yells and Clint turns and grabs the little boy. He is choking and finally gets the water out. Still no parents around. About 30 seconds later two women mozy in and see the little boy is crying and all wet. They thank us and then say, "We thought he would have learned not to jump in because this happened last time we came to the pool." WHAT? You thought HE would have learned??? I would have thought THEY would have learned. I hope there is someone else at the pool when they come back next time.
Anyway, this little boy was not near death because Clint was able to get him out, but I really think that he would have drowned if we were not there. It made me how realize how precious and fragile life can be. It still shakes me up a little bit when I think about the situation.

I can't believe THAT! Thank goodness Clint was there and you guys spotted that boy. What stupid parents, especially that it happened the last time too. Shame on them. Ugh!
I do not like that story! Sometimes people who are supposed to be responsible are so careless! Thank goodness for you and Clint.
